Communication is the key to success as a school leader. I have learned that using focus groups, social media and surveys are great ways to gather and share information. Parents, community members and school staff seem to appreciate being asked for input regarding important decisions. Creating a School Pinterest has helped our teachers to collaborate and share ideas in a way that is meaningful and relevant. Communication was considered the area that needs the most improvement at our school. Improved communication must become a priority in order to facilitate change!
